B&C Morning Show: Mets Limping, While Yanks Benefiting
The Mets lost again last night to the Cubs, falling 5-3 in the 'windy-city'. It was Terry Collins' bunch fourth straight set-back, bumping the Mets to 3rd place in the NL East - 4.5 games out 1st - and that has Craig believing the 'good-vibrations' in Flushing may soon cease.
Craig is starting to think that this great story that the Mets have provided thus far, will be a distant memory by the time the All-Star Break rolls around.
Boomer isn't ready to stop believing just yet, but agrees with Craig that the Mets better turn things around quickly, because the Dodgers & Phillies are up next and things aren't going to get any easier for the somewhat 'Amazin' Mets.
As for the Yankees, they have won 4 in-a-row and show no signs of slowing down. Last night the Bomber's got some help from the third base umpire in the 7th, when Dewayne Wise was credited with a catch that wasn't (visual proof provided). The Yankees went on to win the game 6-4 and Boomer & Craig just chalk it up to the magic of the pinstripes and the fact that it was the Captain's 38th Birthday.
In other words, it's good to be a New York Yankee and it's good to be a fan of the New York Yankees.
The guys will also be playing a their weekly round of golf later this afternoon, so needless to say the trash talking began...
