NEWARK, NJ (WFAN) – Unrestricted free agent Bryce Salvador has signed a three-year, 9.5 million dollar contract to remain with the New Jersey Devils.

The four year Devils defenseman earned 2.9 million last season and is now reported by TSN to earn an AAV of 3.16 million.

Salvador, 36, said that his first choice was to stay with New Jersey. He played in 82 games this year, the most of his career, and tallied 24 points in the postseason.

On Monday, the New Jersey Devils announced the resigning of goaltenders Martin Brodeur and Johan Hedberg.
