NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police are hoping surveillance video will help catch a rape suspect who allegedly attacked a 33-year-old woman at a Bronx hotel.

The woman told authorities she had a brief conversation with the suspect on a subway train at East 14th street and Union Square early Wednesday morning, police said.

After arriving at her hotel room, the victim heard on a knock on her door around 4 a.m. and the same man pushed his way inside and raped her, police said.

The suspect has a tattoo of the name “Tiffany” on his left forearm and another of a scorpion and the name “Ivan” on his right shoulder, police said.

He is believed to be about 30-years-old and was last seen wearing a grey Chicago Bulls hat, white tee shirt and red shorts.
