With all due respect to Jerry Recco and his contributions to the Morning Extravaganza, but on a day like today, his updates practically write themselves. Between the Yankees acquiring Ichiro Suzuki from the Seattle Mariners mere hours before they went out onto the field and beat Ichiro’s former team 4-1, snapping the Bombers’ four-game slide, the Rangers getting super-star right-winger Rick Nash in a trade and the Mets losing yet again, Jerry’s blueprint was all laid out.

From there, it was up to him to deliver the news in an entertaining fashion and draw reaction out of  Boomer and Craig, an act which Jerry has become very adept to pulling off, today being no different…
