Peter & Paul Introduce "It's Raining, It's Pouring" Book On 50th Anniversary Of Famous Folk Trio
Peter Yarrow and Noel "Paul" Stookey (of legendary Peter, Paul & Mary) are introducing an all-new Illustrated children's book, IT'S RAINING, IT'S POURING on sale now.
• This fall marks the 50th Anniversary of the most famous folk trio in history, Peter, Paul & Mary;
• The song IT'S RAINING, IT'S POURING, appeared on their debut album, Peter, Paul & Mary (a top-10 best-seller that year), with nearly 3 million in sales;
• With the debut, PP&M received a "Best New Artist" Grammy nomination, (a career of 5 Grammy wins, thirteen top 40 hits, and eight gold and five platinum albums);
• IT'S RAINING, IT'S POURING became one of their most requested performance pieces at the dawn of the trio's career with Mary singing, "Five, ten fifteen, twenty, twenty-five, thirty, thirty-five, forty" and later in the song, "Anyone round my base is it! Ready or not, here I come!"
