NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Jeanne Cooper, the Emmy Award-winning daytime soap opera star, has been earning her stripes on the set since The Young & The Restless debuted in 1973.

She’s all about the drama – and there’s lots of it in her new book, “Not Young, Still Restless.”

“For 15 years, I’ve had people say, ‘Oh my God, you have to write a book,’ and I’m saying, ‘Yeah, uh-huh, sure, of course I will,’” Cooper told The Couch’s John Elliott. “But then I realized i was talking to people about certain things who weren’t even born when I was talking about certain things. So, to shut them up, I wrote a book.”
