Police Seek Manhattan Robbery Suspect Wanted In 16 Incidents

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are asking for the public's help in finding a suspect wanted in connection with 16 robberies that happened in Manhattan.

Authorities said the suspect approaches victims and displays or simulates a weapon -- either a knife or firearm -- and threatens the victims and demands personal property.

In most of the incidents, the victims had cell phones taken.

None of the victims were injured.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident or the identity and whereabouts of these suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
