Organizers at the Rockland Jewish Community Center estimate 2,000 athletes, coaches, volunteers and fans from all across the world will be in the Lower Hudson Valley for the week-long event.

Delegations from across the U.S., Canada, Europe and Latin America will be taking part in the Games.

Rockland County tourism officials said local attractions and businesses could see a big boost during the Maccabi Games.
