One of Boomer’s favorite pop groups was a big part of the closing ceremonies in London for the 2012 Summer Olympics, and I’m not talking about The Who.

Boomer will always have a place in his heart for the all-girl, British pop band that is comprised of Scary Spice, Posh Spice, Ginger Spice, Sporty Spice and Baby Spice, who together form The Spice Girls.  That is, after taking his then-young daughter to see them in concert a couple of times in the ’90s.

Craig pointed out that the girls – all  approaching 40 years old – have aged quite nicely and he did his best to try to get the Blonde Bomber to sing along to one of their hits, ‘Wannabe’ — but Boomer didn’t take the bait.

Craig ended the segment by insinuating that some frisky behavior may have taken place between Michael Phelps and the aged-to-perfection Spice Girls — he was of course kidding…
