Good morning New York! Max here taking over the blog duties for Bobby. Boomer and Craig kicked off a very special Thursday morning extravaganza live from the Atlantic Health Training Center in Florham Park, New Jersey – preseason home of the New York Jets. And although today’s show promised to be very Jet-heavy, the guys got it started this morning with some New York Yankees discussion.

It began with a few minutes being spent on ESPN’s Skip Bayless and his mindless comments that suggested Derek Jeter’s tremendous season could be attributed to the use of performance-enhancing drugs. Boomer and Craig agree that this is just an attention-grab from a guy who is constantly trying to say something more shocking than he did the day before. They also agree that he should be held accountable for making accusations about something as serious as steroid use without any form of evidence whatsoever.

The real Yankee news though is that they were swept by the White Sox in Chicago, and their lead in the American League East has shrunk to just three games over the red-hot Tampa Bay Rays. Is it time to panic? Craig says no, mostly because they play a weekend series with the lowly Cleveland Indians. He’s expecting a sweep. What do you think?
