NYACK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Rockland County teenager is charged in connection with a string of car fires in Nyack.
Jonathan Barillas, 16, was arrested for setting fire to four cars in a two block area earlier this week, police said.
The incidents all happened around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday on Summit and Washington streets, police said.
One of the fires spread to the side of the home at 35 Summit St., causing thousands of dollars of damage. A couple and their 6-month-old baby escaped the fire without injury, police said.
Barillas faces multiple counts of arson and grand larceny.
He also faces two counts of third-degree burglary for allegedly breaking into a building twice this past month.
Barillas was arraigned Wednesday evening and ordered held on $50,000 bail.
