B&C Morning Show: Craig Praises Girardi, Coughlin Gets Frustrated, Jerry Jones Raps

Jerry "Rello" Recco entered the studio for his first update of the morning. And as we've come to expect, he did a stellar job filling us in on a little bit of everything.

He got it started with play-by-play and reaction to the Yankees' rough loss to the Blue Jays. We also hear from Mark Teixeira with regard to his strained calf which will keep him out of action for up to two weeks. It is at this point that Craig says for the first time this morning that he believes Joe Girardi should be the Manager of the Year. We will revisit this subject later.

The Mets were off last night, but they start a series with the Phillies tonight.

The focus then shifts to football. Jerry tells us about the Jets trading Wayne Hunter to St. Louis. Then he plays some audio from Tom Coughlin, who got a little bit testy with some reporters who continue to ask about individual players as opposed to the team. In fact, there is a German reporter who has made a habit about asking Coughlin about defensive lineman Markus Kuhn. Coughlin seems to be a bit fed up with the guy.

While we're talking football, we also got to hear from Jerry Jones, who for some unforeseen reason decided he was going to lay down a rap song for Papa John's pizza. Yes, it's pretty much as awful as it sounds like it would be.

And speaking of the Cowboys, Dez Bryant will be followed around by team employees to make sure he stays on the straight and narrow. We'll have more on these Dez rules later as well.
