A friend of the program, Mr. Randy Cross from the CBS Sports Network, stops by in-studio to discuss a few pigskin topics with the boys. Randy has the call of the Giants-Pats game tonight, so he has done his homework on both teams. When asked about the Patriot O-line Randy makes a typewriting reference that only he and Boomer understood.
The conversation then shifts to everybody’s favorite backup QB Tim Tebow. Randy calls Tebow a “fullback that can’t throw.” However, like Craig, Randy is a fan of Mark Sanchez. He is a winner and that’s hard to find in this league.
The interview takes a serious turn when Penn State enters the conversation. Randy does a lot of work with College football including calling all the home Army games. He had no problem with the harsh sanctions put on the Nittany Lions. In fact, he is befuddled about all the Happy Valley faithful that continues to make excuses for the tragic events that happened at State College.
Craig loves to give Boomer the business about not winning a SB. Today’s guest Randy Cross has won 3 including one at the hands of Mr. Esiason and the Bengals. When Joe Montana’s classic drive in the 4th quarter gets brought up, No. 7 gets up and leaves the studio.
After that hilarious moment, Randy’s chat with B&C concludes with a very interesting story about how Mr. Cross broke into the broadcasting business…
