Reports: Ojomo Makes Giants' Roster; Bubble Bursts On Ware

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- With roster cuts looming, Wednesday night's preseason game was the final chance for some Giants players to impress.

Defensive end Adewale Ojomo, with a big strip sack, made his case in the closing minutes of New York's 6-3 win over the New England Patriots. It was enough to earn him a spot on the Giants, according to multiple reports.

For others, Friday's news wasn't so good.

Defensive tackles Marcus Thomas and Dwayne Hendricks didn't make the cut, according to multiple reports.

The Giants must make their 53-man roster official by 9 p.m. ET on Friday.

On Twitter, five-year Giants veteran D.J. Ware indicated that he was among the cuts.

"5 great years and 2 SB rings its been fun #NYG. Time is done here," Ware tweeted late Friday morning.

"THANK U 2 my fans ur well wishes r overwhelming will miss u all ... Im not done I will b playing in NFL going BIG! just not here," he added.

Also reported to be among the waived: linebacker Greg Jones, wide receiver Dan DePalma and defensive end Matt Broha.
