Before Jerry Recco got down to business delivering his first update of the morning, Craig wondered aloud if Robinson Cano’s recent lackluster play might have something to do with his best friend Melky Cabrera getting suspended for 50 games for using a banned substance.
With that now out there, Jerry got busy updating the Yankees latest setback, a 4-3 loss to the Rays. A game that had ‘balls finding holes’ and a foul ball that actually found Yankees radio play-by-play man John Sterling’s mic stand. Afterward we heard Derek Jeter ‘turn the tables’ on YES Network’s Merredith Marokivits when asked about feeling pressure and then Boomer & Craig argued about who is a better leader of men, Joe Girardi or Orioles skipper Buck Showalter.
Plus, the Mets fell to the Cardinals 5-4 after getting hosed on an appeal call, some news and notes from the Giants as they prepare to begin their Super Bowl title defense against the Cowboys tomorrow night and a revealing moment from a WFAN personality…
