Bart Scott Proclaims Media Boycott, Says Jets Treated Like Bleepin' 'Joke'

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The good vibes were flowing Sunday after the Jets lit up the scoreboard -- and made a definitive statement -- against the Buffalo Bills at MetLife Stadium.

Just not at linebacker Bart Scott's locker.

"You guys treat us like we're a (bleeping) joke," Scott told USA Today after the 48-28 pasting. "You all want us to feed your papers, but then you all talk (expletive) about us. So why would I want to give you all quotes to sell papers with if you all treat us like (expletive)? That doesn't make sense."

Scott declared "media mutiny," clarified to be a boycott, because reporters "all talk stuff about us" and then "flip the story" when the Jets win.

"You all win either way," he charged.

The Jets have been described -- even depicted in a recent New York Post illustration -- as a circus act since last season's 8-8 finish and subsequent acquisition of backup quarterback Tim Tebow.

Sunday's huge win was a step toward proving the naysayers wrong.

But it seems Scott, who was fined $10,000 by the team in January for flipping off a photographer in the Jets' locker room, won't be saying much of anything.

"I'm just going to be quiet," Scott said. "You're all going to screw us next week or the week after. You're all going to get us eventually."

Does Scott have a point? Be heard in the comments below!
