NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Love it or hate it, it has been the song of the year.

Yes, we’re talking about “Call Me Maybe” by 26-year-old singer Carly Rae Jepsen.

The most memorable and Internet memed lyric is “Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here’s my number, so call me, maybe?”

Well, some folks in Connecticut have given the song the treatment that, let’s admit it, it was bound to eventually get.

A pair by the names of Colin Britt and Arianne Abela arranged the song for orchestra and chorus.

It was performed by theĀ 3Penny Chorus and Orchestra, conducted by Abela. They recorded the song in New Haven on September 3.
