Who would you like to see perform on Saturday Night Live? The show is asking fans to suggest musical artists they think are worthy of taking on the coveted late night slot.

After noticing that fans were submitting possible hosts and musical guests for future SNL episodes on Facebook and Twitter, the show decided it could be helpful for  future episodes.

Fans can now suggest who they think would make either a good host or a good musical guest for the one open slot a month of the show’s current season.  Picks will then be passed along to the producers. Who knows, you might pick the next host of SNL.  This was how Betty White came to be on the show after all.

Nominations have already begun for musicians like Miley Cyrus, CeeLo, Christina Aguilera, Selena Gomez and Josh Groban who, like Justin Timberlake and Taylor Swift, could pull double duty as host and musical guest.

Some have already started campaigns to get their favorites on the show including The Voice’s Blake Shelton, whose biggest supporters have been tweeting like crazy to get the country singer a slot.

So who would you like to see appear on the show? Vote in our poll below.

And remember; choose wisely, we don’t want another Ashlee Simpson situation on our hands.

The season premiere of SNL is Saturday with host Seth McFarlane (Family GuyTed) and musical guest Frank Ocean with special guest John Mayer.
