B&C Morning Show: Tale Of Two Elis; Gang Green Falters In Week 2
After an eventful Sunday of NFL football, Boomer & Craig opened up this Football Monday edition of the Morning Extravaganza talking about the Giants’ entertaining 41-34 win over the Tampa Bay Bucs and the Jets’ disappointing 27-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The morning got off to a bit of a rough start for the Booms, as some NYFD activity prevented the Blonde Bomber from making his way to the Allstate Studio until just after 6 a.m. But not to worry, Boomer is a pros-pro and once he took his seat next to Craigie, he was ready to rock-n-roll.
The Dynamic Radio Duo began things by talking about the Giants’ thrilling, come-from-behind win over Greg “The Schiano Man’s” Tampa Bay Bucs, during which we saw the two sides of Eli Manning. During the first half Eli was picked three times, which led to 21 Tampa Bay points and Big Blue trailed 24-13 at the intermission. The second half was a different story for the youngest Manning, as Eli went off and led the improbable comeback.
The game didn’t end without incident though. After Eli took a shot from the Bucs defense while he was trying to take a knee during the final seconds, Tom Coughlin took exception and had words with Schiano about.
Then there are the Jets, who got of to a good start, holding leads of 7-3 and 10-6, before falling 27-10 to the Steelers. Craig adequately summed things-up by saying ‘both teams are 1-1 and nobody is happy.’
Just another manic Monday in the Big Apple, morning show style…
