Revis' Status Uncertain For Jets' Meeting With Dolphins

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Rex Ryan is unsure if he'll have star cornerback Darrelle Revis back in the New York Jets' secondary when the Jets take on the Dolphins in Miami on Sunday.

Ryan said Monday that he doesn't think "you can assume" Revis will be ready to go against the Dolphins after suffering what the Jets called a "mild concussion" in the season opener against Buffalo. Revis sat out the Jets' 27-10 loss to the Steelers after he was not cleared for contact before the team traveled to Pittsburgh.

Revis' absence left a gaping hole in "Gang Green's" defense as Ben Roethlisberger picked apart the Jets' secondary in week two.  Roethlisberger torched the Jets for 275 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Ryan says Revis must pass the required tests, but adds that he "looks to be doing well, so hopefully he will be playing."

The Jets coach had no immediate injury updates on fullback John Conner (right knee), tight end Dustin Keller (hamstring) or linebacker Bryan Thomas (hamstring).

Are the Jets in trouble if Revis can't suit up against the Dolphins on Sunday? Let us know…
