Jets' Sanchez Falls Back To Down To Earth

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Mark Sanchez had a breakthrough performance against the Buffalo Bills in week one.  Sanchez carved the Bills' secondary for 266 passing yards and was able to get some of the critics off his back.

Week two was an entirely different story as the Steelers delievered a reality check to Sanchez and the Jets.  Sanchez only completed 37% of his passes against the Steelers on Sunday.  He was 10-for-27 and only managed 138 yards through the air.

Sanchez struggled to match Ben Roethlisberger, who took advantage of a Jets' secondary that was missing injured star Darrelle Revis.  "Big Ben" completed 24 of 31 pass attempts for 275 yards and 2 touchdowns.

All the preseason questions about the Jets' offense are coming back to them.  Sanchez and the Jets' offense was only able to convert 4 of 12 third down opportunities.

The pressure will be on Sanchez to prove his dismal performance isn't a sign of things to come when he faces the Miami Dolphins.

Can Sanchez return to form against the Dolphins or will his struggles continue?  Sound off below...
