B&C Morning Show: Jerry's Update

With the Yanks and the Mets both getting rained out last night, Jerry Recco began his first update of the morning by filling us in on an 18-inning affair, one which took place in Seattle and saw the Baltimore Orioles beat the Mariners 4-2.

With the win the O's are now tied with the Yankees atop the AL East.  The Bombers will play a day-night doubleheader against the Blue Jays today at the Stadium.

On the injury front, it doesn't look like Mark Teixeira will be back anytime soon, as Joe Girardi targeted September 27 as a possible return date for the Yanks first baseman and Brett Gardner could be activated today and be available for pinch-running duties.

Plus, Blue Jays shortstop Yunel Escobar has suspended three games by his team for an offensive slur he displayed on his eye-black last week, Boomer fondly remembers NFL Films president Steve Sabol after he passed away yesterday at the age of 69 from brain cancer, Craig paid his own tribute to Sabol while honoring Boomer at the same time.  Eli and the Giants prepare for Cam and the Panthers and a Kansas City radio host by then name of Bob Fesscoe (610 AM) took a page out of Craigie's playbook when addressing his hometown Chiefs...
