NYPD Hunts Flushing Bank Robbery Suspect

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The New York Police Department is asking for your help to catch a would-be bank robber.

A man walked in to the Capitol One Bank on 14th Avenue near College Point Boulevard Monday morning at around 10:30 a.m., police said. He walked up to the teller, handed over a brown bag, and demanded cash.

The teller refused to give him the cash, police said.

The suspect took the bag back and left, heading east on the Van Wyck Expressway service road toward Queens Boulevard.

The suspect is described as being a white male in his early 30s, about 5'9" and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans, sunglasses and a cap.
