NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Today, we have cupcakes like you’ve never seen before.

They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Well, no one knows that better than David Arrick, the founder of Butch Bakery, which targets flavors that men love!

Butch Bakery was born when Arrick felt it was time to combine a masculine aesthetic to a traditionally cute product - the cupcake.

When a magazine article mentioned that cupcakes were a combination of everything “pink, sweet, cute, and magical”, he felt it was time to take action, and butch it up.

He decided to create a company where “Butch meets Buttercream”

Today, he made Bailey’s Buttercream on The Couch. Here’s the recipe.

8 tablespoons (1 stick ) unsalted butter, softened
3 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar, sifted
1/4 cup Bailey’s Irish Cream
Pinch salt

In a large size mixing bowl, with an electric mixer on medium-high speed, beat the butter until light and fluffy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl, reduce speed to medium, add half of the sugar, Bailey’s, and salt, beating to incorporate. Add the rest of the sugar, beating on medium-high speed for 2 to 3 minutes until very smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
