Oh, It's On Now: Eagles' LeSean McCoy Calls Osi 'A Ballerina In A Giants Uniform'

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Ahead of the Giants' upcoming Sunday night tilt with the Eagles, running back LeSean McCoy has added fuel to the fire by calling out Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora ... again.

The Pro-Bowl running back poked fun at Umenyiora in an interview with ESPN, stating, "Osi, to be honest, he is a good player. I think he thinks that he is better than what he really is. I think he is a ballerina in a Giants uniform. Other than that, that is all I got to say about Osi."

The feud between Umenyiora and McCoy has taken on a life of its own. When Umenyiora was engaged in a contract dispute in the spring of 2011, McCoy tweeted that the 10th-year player is "Overrated n soft 3rd best d-line on his team honestly."

The 2003 second-round pick of Big Blue responded by calling the 24-year-old "Lady Gaga" and "a little girl."

"(He will) get what he deserves (because) what he did was unforgivable," Umenyiora said at the time. "He ran his mouth. He crossed the line that shouldn't have been crossed."

Then on May 13, Umenyiora tweeted at McCoy unsolicited, saying, "Happy Mothers Day Lesean Mccoy! Enjoy your special day!!"

When asked if the feud between Umenyiora and McCoy was real, the Eagles' superstar insisted that it's not a publicity stunt.

"Yeah, this is for real -- I don't like Osi," McCoy told ESPN. "I don't know how he feels. He might think it's a game, but I don't play them type of games. So every time on the field I would say stuff to him like, 'You is a bum. You are the third best defensive lineman on the defense.' Which I didn't lie.  Wait, I did lie. He's the fourth now, so I actually did lie."

Giants cornerback Antrel Rolle doesn't exactly know what to make of the ongoing feud.

"I've only heard about (the feud), so I'm not too sure what's going there," Rolle told WFAN co-hosts Evan Roberts and Joe Benigno in his weekly spot. "I guess that's their thing. It's been going on for a couple of years. They just take shots at each other. Hopefully we see that anger this weekend on our side of the ball. Osi's going to come to play. He's going to do what he's always done for us, which is be that great wrecking force, that great pass rusher."

The two-time Super Bowl champion decided to take the high road this time in regard to McCoy's comments.

"I might be a ballerina in a Giants uniform," Umenyiora said. "I'm lucky I got the contract. I'm lucky to be playing 10 years in the league, to have won two Super Bowls. All that is pure luck and I'm happy for him. I'm happy he got his contract and I'm happy everything is working out well for him in Philadelphia."
