Cal Ripken Jr. was scheduled to join the program Tuesday, but due to a time mix up, baseball’s ‘Iron Man’ called in Wednesday. He was clearly fired up about his former club, the Baltimore Orioles, as they continue to the Yankees all that they can handle.
Ripken said no one ever imagined the O’s would be where they currently are, and because of that he favors buck Showalter as AL Manager of the Year, but A’s skipper Bob Melvin is not too far behind.
Before saying goodbye, Craig asked Ripken about the mess the Jets find themselves in and warned him to beware of Joe Benigno, because he is an out of control autograph seeker…
