NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The 666th Monday Night Football game is coming up, and New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow is not making light of the ominous number.

Tebow tweeted Monday afternoon, “Looking forward to giving God all the glory in tonight’s 666th Monday Night Football game. Romans 8:37-39.”

The passage from Paul’s Epistle to the Romans reads: “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

The Bible references 666 as the number of the beast in Revelations 13:18.

Tebow and the Jets will take on the Houston Texans at 8:30 p.m.
