Reward Offered After Duck Found Shot In Neck On Long Island

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - Long Island animal activists are looking for whoever shot an arrow through a duck's neck.

The Suffolk County SPCA is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for shooting the white domestic duck.

The male duck was found wounded in Patchogue and was taken to a clinic for treatment.

Veterinarians said the arrow punctured the duck's esophagus, but said the duck is expected to make a full recovery.
