Prosecutor: Jersey City Man Tried To Lure Teen Online

ELIZABETH, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A Jersey City man is accused of initiating an inappropriate online relationship with a teenage girl from Union County, prosecutors said.

Paul Kleinman, 33, is charged with luring and several counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.

Kleinman first contacted the 15-year-old girl on the website MeetMe.com on Sept. 29, claiming he was 26-years-old, Prosecutor Theodore Romankow said.

He later contacted the teenager on Facebook, obtained her phone number and then began asking her to send naked pictures of herself and to meet him for sex, Romankow said.

The girl's parents discovered the messages on Oct.1 and reported it to their local police department.

As police continued their investigation, Kleinman sent nude pictures of himself to the victim's online account, Romankow said.

Kleinman is being held on $100,000 bail.
