When Joe Girardi’s lineup card was revealed on Wednesday, for the second straight game Alex Rodriguez was noticeably absent.  As it turns out, the game was rained out and will be made up this afternoon beginning at 4 p.m.

During his first update of the morning, Jerry Recco provided some A-Rod reaction audio, during which you could hear that he was not thrilled with his skipper’s decision.  Craig believes Girardi should use A-Rod’s anger to his advantage and see to it that he is in the lineup today in Detroit.

To the NLCS — the Giants and the Cardinals sat through a rain delay in St. Louis, but when the game finally concluded the Cards had a 3-1 win and now hold a 2-1 series lead.  Carlos Beltran left the game in the first inning after straining his right knee and is now day-to-day.

Plus, as Tom Coughlin prepares his troops to battle Robert Griffin III and the Redskins this Sunday at MetLife Stadium, he is preaching about harmony – which in turn got Boomer and Craig singing a duet of sorts — ‘Building bridges b—-es!’
