Man Killed In Crash On Rockaway Freeway
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 33-year-old man was killed overnight in a crash in Rockaway Beach.
The crash happened around 6:15 a.m. on the Rockaway Freeway at Beach 84th Street, police said.
Anthony Luster, 33, of the 300 block of Beach 84th Street, was headed east on the freeway \in his Lincoln Navigator, when he struck a pole, police said.
Luster was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Information about the cause of the crash, and whether alcohol or drugs were involved, was not immediately available.
