Tim Tebow Voted 'Most Overrated' By Landslide In Annual SI Player Poll

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Tebowmania is alive and well, though apparently not within the NFL ranks.

Tim Tebow was voted "most overrated" by his peers for the second straight year. The Jets backup quarterback took home a whopping 34 percent of the vote in Sports Illustrated's annual poll.

Tebow received 22 percent last year while with the Denver Broncos.

SI's list was based on responses from 180 NFL players. The man in front of Tebow on the depth chart, Mark Sanchez, tied Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo for second with 8 percent.

It was Sanchez's third straight year in the top three.

"Wow," Jets coach Rex Ryan said Thursday. "I don't even know how to comment on that. ... I'm just happy they're on my football team."

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick (4 percent) and injured Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis (3 percent) rounded out the top five.

The magazine said 48 players received at least one vote -- even two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning at 1 percent.
