B&C Morning Show: Dez Has Long Fingers, Rex Gets Caught Off Guard, Giants Win World Series
Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant came oh so close to being the hero yesterday if not for his very loooong fingers. Because of Bryant’s big digits, the Cowboys lost to the Giants 29-24 after a spirited comeback fell just short.
Jerry Recco is a Cowboys fan and he began his first update in what had to be a painful manner by recapping all of the action from Big Blue’s sixth win of the season. Jerry is a professional though and he found away to get through it. We heard some play-by-play from both Bob Papa, Kevin Burkhardt and even a little from Danny White.
Moving right along to the Jets, they got a beatdown courtesy of the Dolphins, losing 30-9 at MetLife Stadium — and their outspoken head coach never saw this one coming. Rex Ryan told the assembled media following the game that the Jets had a great week of practice leading up to Sunday. So do with that information what you wish.
After getting involved in some trash-talking during the week, Jets linebacker Aaron Maybin played in the game but had no stats to prove it, putting up what Craig is calling a ‘Maybin.’
Plus, Jerry provided an NFL scoreboard for Week 8 — highlighted by an Eagles loss to the undefeated Falcons and Peyton Manning’s fourth straight game with 300-plus yards and 3 TDs in a Broncos win. The San Francisco Giants won the World Series for the second time in the last three years after sweeping the Tigers with a 4-3, 10-inning win in the clincher – Pablo Sandoval (pictured) was named World Series MVP after belting three home runs in Game 1…
