Actress Rosie Perez Pulls An All-Nighter For A Great Cause

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Actress Rosie Perez is taking part in the 24 Hour Plays on Broadway on Monday.

For one night only, Perez will join talent including America Ferrera, Billy Crudup, Brooke Shields and Brooklyn Decker write, direct and perform six original plays in just 24 hours.

The 24 Hour Plays on Broadway has allowed Urban Arts programs to address the ever-growing need to engage students from the poorest schools in New York City and Los Angeles in their education, empowering them to gain fluency in English; excel on the standardized tests required to graduate; and acquire the tools and confidence to grow in artistry, academics, and leadership.
