In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, we’ve seen so many grassroots examples of people helping out.

Melissa Gerstein and Denise Albert, aka ‘The Moms,’ teamed up with Office Depot to donate $10,000 in school supplies to help the Martin de Porres school in the Rockaways.

Printers, backpacks and lots of other necessary school gear was dropped off at the school’s Elmont campus.
