Police Arrest And Charge Williamsburg Rape Suspect
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have arrested and charged a man they say followed a woman into her apartment in the trendy Williamsburg section of Brooklyn and raped her.
Authorities said they apprehended 31-year-old Laye Kaba inside 89 Porter Avenue on Thursday afternoon.
Kaba has been charged with rape, burglary, stalking, sex abuse, strangulation, unlawful imprisonment, and menacing.
Police said the rape happened around 5:45 a.m. this past Saturday.
The man followed the 23-year-old woman into her apartment, where he forcibly raped her, police said.
