Police Looking For Driver In Fatal L.I. Hit-And-Run

WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — Police in Suffolk County are trying to find a driver who they said killed a woman in a hit-and-run crash last month.

It happened back on Oct. 7 in West Babylon.

Around 1:30 a.m., 30-year-old Jennifer Wheeler was hit by a car on Sunrise Highway about near Jerome Avenue, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
