The Giants traveled to Washington for a highly anticipated Monday night affair against Robert Griffin III and the Redskins, with a chance to put a stranglehold on the NFC East.

Unfortunately for Tom Coughlin’s bunch, RGIII & Co. were up to the task, topping Big Blue 17-16 and now just a game separates the Giants (7-5), Redskins (6-6) & Cowboys (6-6) with four  games remaining on the schedule.

Boomer – having  called the game on the Dial Global Sports Network – got a firsthand look of what took place, as the Giants – who have now lost three of their last four games –  committed a season-high nine penalties and seemed to ‘settle’ for FGs throughout the game, which ultimately cost them in the end.  So the Booms and Craigie opened up this Tuesday edition of the Morning Extravaganza breaking down the game and what might lie ahead for the Giants.

In addition to the Giants, the guys briefly touched on the aging Yankees as we get word that Alex Rodriguez needs hip surgery and won’t likely be back until June.  This news comes on the heels of revelations that Derek Jeter is apparently getting fat while rehabbing his broken ankle (or not?).  According to Craig this all means Josh Hamilton will be in pinstripes sooner rather than later…
