NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – It’s the talk of the town, whether you are on this side of the pond or the other: The Royal Baby.

Royal historians are saying the upcoming addition to Prince William & Duchess Kate’s family could be the most sought-after celebrity baby in history.

British writer and political commentator Imogen Lloyd Webber hit The Couch to fill us in on what this means for England.

“The primary function of a royal wife is the delivery of an heir and a spare very quickly, so since they got married, it’s been bump watch for Kate,” said Webber.

Of course the rumors were swirling even before the couple said “I do,” but now that it’s official, the paparazzi palooza has been in full effect.

“This baby is the future of Britain, it symbolizes the future of Britain,” said Webber. “It secures the royal family moving forward.”

“It’s a big deal,” she said. “This baby is going to be third in line to the throne.”
