NYPD: 3 Suspects Wanted For Beating Up Cabbie After Refusing To Pay Fare

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for help in finding a trio of suspects wanted for allegedly beating up a cab driver.

The NYPD said the incident, which took place on Dec. 1 at  around 4:10 a.m., ended with physical violence when the occupants didn't pay their fare.

Authorities said three suspects -- two women and one man -- were picked up at Allen Street and East Houston Street and dropped off at Grand Street and Lewis Street, where the altercation occurred.

A dispute over the fare ensued before the suspects punched the 42-year-old cab driver several times and took his cell phone, police said.

The suspects then fled westbound on Grand Street.
