Woman Found Stabbed To Death, Man Found Wounded In Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police Sunday night were investigating a stabbing that left a woman dead and a man injured in Elmhurst, Queens.

Around 8:20 a.m., police responded to a call of a foul odor at 90-34 54th Ave., and discovered a 62-year-old woman unconscious and unresponsive with stab wounds to the back. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The woman was identified as Lorraine Cetrone, of the 54th Avenue address, police said.

A 63-year-old man had been stabbed in the chest and was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he was reported in stable condition, police said.

No information was available Sunday night about the motive, nor about who might have stabbed the man and woman.

The investigation was ongoing Sunday night.
