B&C Morning Show: Melo Day-To-Day; Thursday Night 'A-- Punt'

Jerry Recco's first update of the morning was informative and a sign of things to come.  We got a thorough recap of the Knicks' impressive win over the 116-107 win over the Lakers on a night that marked Mike D'Antoni's return to MSG.

Jerry provided plenty of postgame sound, including the Knicks' former head coach, a bewildered  D'Antoni, and of course their current man on the bench, Mike Woodson, whose comments spawned a catchy tune all about the days of the week.

Moving right along to Thursday Night Football, a game between the Bengals and the Eagles that should have had the interest of Jets fans -- at least for a little while.  The Bengals won the game by a score 34-13, putting a major dent in the Jets' playoff chances and providing some laughter to today's radio program thanks to Bengals backup running back Dan Herron's game-changing effort on a first-quarter Eagles punt (pictured).

Plus, Rex Ryan comments on the Jets' signing of Braylon Edwards, despite the WR referring to some in the organization as 'idiots.'  Rex believes Edwards was referring to Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum, while Tannenbaum is under the impression it was Rex he was referring to.  Either way, all seems 'right' in Jets camp and Edwards should suit up and play Monday night against the Titans in Tennessee.

And the Big East gets blown up as the Catholic schools unite...
