Rex Ryan To Wear 'S.H.E.S' On Headset To Honor Victims Of Sandy Hook Elementary

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The NFL honored the victims of Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., on Sunday, and the Jets plan to do the same on Monday night when they take on the Tennessee Titans.

Gang Green plans to honor the 27 victims -- 20 of which were schoolchildren -- by sporting decals on their helmets that say "S.H.E.S," which stands for Sandy Hook Elementary School.

"Thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by today's horrific tragedy in Connecticut," Jets owner Woody Johnson said on Twitter on Friday.

Head coach Rex Ryan, who obviously doesn't wear a helmet, plans to honor the victims in his own way by wearing a headset with the letters "S.H.E.S." while he coaches.

"Obviously, with the tragedy in Newtown, Conn., our thoughts and prayers are with all the people impacted by that tragedy," Ryan said at his news conference on Saturday.
