Customers Stock Up On Italian Pastry In Brooklyn Ahead Of Christmas
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Despite the chilly Christmas Eve weather, pastry lovers lined up to buy treats at Court Pastry Shop in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn.
"It speaks to everything that the neighborhood once was, so without it we'd all be lost as you could see," customer Diane told 1010 WINS' Stan Brooks.

Some patrons called the shop an icon.
"They make the best pastry in Brooklyn. Period," Frank told Brooks as he waited on line. "I'm Italian, I know. The cannolis are the best."
One woman said she waits in line on Christmas Eve every year to get pastries to take to family in Philadelphia for the holiday.
And the customers all said the sweet treats are perfect for Christmas and worth the wait.
"They've got a beautiful variety of old Italian type of pastries. Happy holidays!" a woman told Brooks.
