3 Arrested In Courthouse Fight In Bridgeport, Conn.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Three people were arrested in Bridgeport, Conn., Monday, after a courthouse brawl broke out among family and friends of an alleged murder victim and the defendants in the case.

Connecticut State Police said several officers responded after an inaccurate report of shots fired Monday at the Golden Hill Street courthouse in Bridgeport, during an arraignment hearing for murder defendants Tysaaun Anderson, 18, and Kyle Brodie, 17.

At the hearing, Josue Gullap, 26, was charged with assault and breach of the peace, and Jessica Gullap, 20, was charged with criminal mischief. Both were due in court Jan. 11.

Tyrell Simms, 20, was charged with threatening and breach of the peace. He was in court Jan. 10.

The Connecticut Post reported the dispute arose before Anderson and Brodie were to be arraigned on murder charges in the Aug. 2 shooting of George Gullap, a teenage relative of the Josue and Jessica Gunlap.

The newspaper reported the three people arrested Monday exchanged words and threats, and finally punches, with Anderson and Brodie.

Anderson and Brodie are being held on $1 million bail.
