An old friend of the show, Jerome Bettis, called in Wednesday morning and had some interesting things to say about ‘sophisticated’ Rex Ryan and his unsophisticated defense.

Bettis also chimed in on the future of his former head coach, Bill Cowher, and whether or not he believes Cowher will ever coach again in the NFL.

Rounding things out, Bettis offered up his take on Mike Shanahan and the Redskins medical staff regarding their decision to play Robert Griffin III despite the rookie signal-caller being far from 100 percent.

Bettis had no problem with the decision to keep him out there until he could no longer stand. ‘The Bus’ chose to focus on RGIII’s on-field performance rather than his physical well-being…
