NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A New York City police officer was arrested early Monday, reportedly on charges that he pulled a gun on a construction worker.

Officer Jim Paul, 34, was arrested at 2:05 a.m. in the 71st Precinct, which is located at the southern end of Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

Police said Paul was charged with menacing.

Police did not release additional details. But the New York Daily News reported Paul had been arguing while off duty over the location of equipment with a 33-year-old construction worker, when he pulled a gun and threatened to shoot the worker.

Paul works in the 83rd Precinct in Bushwick, Brooklyn, police said.
