Police Seek Help In Finding Suspect Who Robbed West Harlem Pay-O-Matic

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday renewed their call for help from the public in finding the suspect who robbed a Pay-O-Matic in West Harlem and threatened to set it on fire.

Around 1:45 a.m. back on Christmas Eve, a man in his 40s entered the currency exchange at 3352 Broadway with a cup full of an unspecified flammable liquid. The man threw the substance under the cashier window and demanded cash while flashing a lighter, police said.

The cashier, a 22-year-old man, handed over a bag of cash. The suspect then ran north.

Police are describing the suspect as 5-foot-9 and weighing 150 pounds, and he was last seen wearing all dark clothing.
