Police Find Suspected Drug Lab In Hell's Kitchen
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Two floors of an apartment building in Hell's Kitchen were evacuated Monday evening, after police discovered what might have been a drug lab.
Police were called Monday evening to the building at 431 W. 54th St. for a quarrel between two neighbors, when the lab was discovered.
An "odor" was reported in the building, and police were called. Officers found chemistry materials and supplies, and FDNY Hazardous Materials teams were called in along with the Bomb Squad, 1010 WINS' Sonia Rincon reported.
It was not clear if police believed the lab was being used to produce meth, or some other kind of drugs.
Two floors of the building were evacuated.
One person was being questioned Monday night, but no one had been arrested, CBS 2 reported.
