Off-Duty School Safety Agent Shot In Brooklyn

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) — A school safety agent who was shot on Sunday night is expected to survive, according to first responders.

Neighbors told 1010 WINS reporter Gene Michaels that they heard a sound like ‘fire crackers’, before realizing what had happened.

“It sounded like fire crackers, like pow pow pow, I looked out through the window. I think the lady was his mom, and he said oh they shot me, they shot me,” a neighbor said.

The shooting occurred in Brooklyn on East 51st Street near Clarkson Ave, he was sitting alone in his car at the time of the crash.
